Hello Guru Jonathan.

I am a student under Guru Victor Gendrano and am intersted in incorporating Sayoc Kali as a discipline into my other arts. I’ve studied Lima Lama Core System and have been studying JKD, Kali, and Shooto at the Inosanto Academy.

Great workshop by top-notch instructors. Guros Travis and Joey do a great job of establishing a solid training progression that places an emphasis on mastery of the fundamentals. Everyone at the workshop, regardless of skill level, saw improvement at the rate and to the level they were ready for.

I especially appreciated the teaching methodology. Sayoc LA’s emphasis is not just on giving students a variety of techniques. Rather, Guros Joey and Travis present the material in a way that gives the practitioner a framework to grow beyond the boundaries of any single drill. By presenting the concepts in a progressive manner, they give us the formula: from there it’s just a matter of plugging in different variables.

I am really looking forward to the next one! Thanks again for the awesome training!
